Oğuz Polat was born on 06/03/1959 in Atlanta/Georgia U.S.A. He graduated from school of Medicine of İstanbul University in 1983. He attended as professor at Marmara Medical School, department of forensic medicine in 1990. He was the head of the Council of Forensic Medicine of Mınıstry of Justice between 2000-2003 He was the lecturer of Department of Forensic Medicine of Marmara Medical School of Marmara University since 2009. He worked as a researcher and lecturer in Begun Violence Prevention Center of Case Western Reserve Unıversity between 2010-2012 Also he is lecturing to medical, law and psychology schools of five universities about forensic medicine, criminology and child rights.He has 120 articles about Child abuse, Child’s Rights, Children at Risk , Violence toward children and Forensic medicine and 25 books about Child abuse, Child’s Rights, violence and Forensic Medicine including all aspects of child abuse. Also he is at the editorial board of 6 medical journals.Prof. Polat is an NGO volunteer and child rights expert. He is the founder and was board director of Street Children Rehabilitation Association (2004-2008) and Child Abuse Protection and Rehabilitation Association (ÇİKORED)(1992-2010), Child Rights National Coalition and Network who are members of European Child Rights NGO Coalition’s Coalition between 2004-20010.He was the coordinator of Child Rights Coalition which is established at 1997 untıl 2007 and wrote the first alternative country report. Polat was the main reporteuer of the alternative report. Also he was the coordinator of civil movements for child rights 0-18 between 2004-2010.Now he is founder and head of IMDAT (Violence Protection and Rehabilitatıon Associatıon ) since 2014 .Also he is the dırector of ASUMA Violence and Crimes Research Center of Acıbadem Unıversity.He is expert on child rights , child abuse and street children. Also he is studying about new models for ınstitutional care especially for abused children and street children
In 2012, he graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Law. In 2017, he completed his Master's Degree in Information and Technology Law at IStanbul Bilgi University with a thesis titled "Legal Evaluation of Online Child Abuse".
He is a Criminal and IT Lawyer. After 7 years as a freelance lawyer, he is currently working as KVK Compliance Manager in a financial institution. Since 2015, he has been a member of IMDAT.
He is active in the field of informatics and is currently working on Python, Data Analysis and Machine Learning.
He completed his PhD at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Political Science and International Relations. He is a faculty member at Istanbul University International Institute of Genocide and Crimes against Humanity.
He works specifically on unaccompanied refugee children. He has also worked on refugee children, international migration, children's rights, information disorder/disorder, migrants' acculturation strategies, refugees' access to higher education, refugee and migrant rights.
Between 2017-2021, he worked at Istanbul University Migration and Migration Policies Application and Research Center as a YÖK 100/2000 scholar. He also worked at the University of Florence Interdisciplinary Migration Unit for 6 months in 2021.
Hilal Karayazı was born in Samsun in 1999. She completed her secondary education at Samsun Anafartalar Anatolian High School. She completed Acıbadem University Psychology Undergraduate Program between 2017-2021 and Forensic Sciences Master's Program at Acıbadem University between 2021-2023. She is currently continuing her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology at İlim University. She is currently working in a private educational institution.
Her areas of expertise; Forensic Sciences, Family Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and her fields of study are vulnerable groups, children and adolescents and she continues her research on this subject. She is especially focused on physical abuse.
He graduated from St Michel French High School and Istanbul Technical University Metallurgical Engineering. After 25 years of experience in the iron and steel and casting industry, he has been working in real estate and real estate development. He is married and has 3 children. Since 2015, he has been a member of İMDAT Board of Directors.
Neslim Güvendeğer Doksat was born in Izmir in 1969 and completed her secondary and high school education at Izmir American College between 1980-1987. Following her graduation from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine between 1987-1993, she started her specialization in child mental health at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in December 1993. In 1998, he completed his specialization as a "Child Mental Health Specialist". Between 1998-2002, while working at İzmir-Menemen State Hospital, he was the responsible physician of Sabahat Akşiray Autistic Children Education Center in Emiralem. Between 2003-2005, he worked as a Child Mental Health specialist at Izmir Dr. Behçet Uz Pediatric Diseases and Surgery Training and Research Hospital. As of November 2013, he started to work as a doctoral faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Beykent University and taught undergraduate and graduate courses. As of 20.11.2019, he has been awarded the title of associate professor and continues his academic career at Beykent University.
